I must be crazy...

I started another project - I just couldn't resist!

Tiny 1/4" hexagons...and they are small!!!

It turns out they are easier that I thought!
The Clover clips really help when basting!
Maybe next time I'll show my method and give a few tips!

A flower is started!

A larger flower!!!

The Pattern is from Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine- the Spring 2013 issue.

I'll be working on it for a while! A long while....

In the meantime I have been cutting scraps...another project that takes a while!

But my pile is getting smaller.

Soon I'll be sewing scrappy log cabin blocks!

And yes I am still quilting...now I'm on the borders!
It took a while to get back to it after my finger mishap but it is coming along again!

Happy Stitching!

Saying goodbye!

It's time to say goodbye to an old friend!

I think I made about 8 or 10 of these little bags...it must have been 12 or 15 years ago. They travelled all over the country making their way to some friends and family! For myself, I kept a blue bag and a brown bag. The blue bag was gone years ago and now it's time to say goodbye to the brown one.

It's had a good life though! It's carried quilting things, library books and lunches and it's travelled allover by car and air...and so I say goodbye to my faithful bag companion and ...

..I realize this gives my the perfect reason to make a new bag!!!

I finished my snowman! He is so cute. I'm hoping to make a few more before Christmas!

And, another quilt top is finished! I am happy with the results but I am REALLY tired of brown!

I know have a backlog of three quilt tops to machine quilt so I better start collecting backings.

Happy Stitching!

Oh No!

Although I've been busy quilting away on my applique quilt, I am NOT going to get it done for the quilt show at the end of April...especially now...a finger injury... on my thimble finger..

I've just started the borders and there is a lot more work than I thought!
And I would rather enjoy the process than rush through it.

There is always another quilt show...

I have been working on a few other things as well. I am needle punching this cute snowman for a Christmas gift (yes, I am already making presents) Don't look to close - it's the back and I am MESSY! The fun thing about needle punch is that you can get something done fast.

And this quilt is ready to start putting the rows together.
After this is done I am ready for a challenge.

And a weird thing happened. I dropped my scissors and this is how they landed!

Now that just doesn't happen every day so I thought I'd better record it in history!

Happy Stitching!

A few things done..

I had some production the last week or so...
I finished hand quilting another block!

I LOVE this quilt!

The binding is done on my churn dash...

I tackled the Kitchener stitch again and got my toes all closed up on two pairs of socks!
(Now that was just PURE PROCRASTINATING that I didn't do these sooner!)

Then I finished piecing the giant apple core quilt. It will make a beautiful wedding gift.

I normally quilt my own quilt tops but I have a few that need to be done so I think this and a couple others will be gong to the longarmer to get finished!

But before this one goes, I decided to stay stitch the entire outside edge. It was a lot of curves and I didn't want them distorted.

Now back to hand quilting!

Happy Stitching!

Too many projects!

Yes, I have 'Too Many Project Syndrome' ! How does it start? Maybe it's that I have too much stuff? Maybe it's that I have too many things I really WANT to make? Maybe it's that I am not at all organized anymore?

So what I have been working on?

My first block is finished (for now). I still have the inside of the basket to do but I am undecided. I'll have to spend some time sketching! I am so happy with it so far.

In the meantime I have started quilting the second block!

I finished machine quilting this churn dash! I did a straight grid in each direction. It is heavily quilted - just 1" apart.  Now I am just sewing down the binding.

I know exactly where it is going...in about 10 months! I have the wall all picked out in my sewing room (or should I say future sewing room)

I have been sewing a few curves on my giant apple core quilt! Nice easy curves...it still takes a bit of time and extra pinning but worth it.

And I am thinking it will make a perfect wedding gift!

My crochet hearts are all done. I still have to buy the rest of the things I need to finish this gift!

And through all this I am thinking I need an easy no thinking project when the apple core is finished so I am going to start this kit I bought quite a while ago.

Back to my binding!

Happy Stitching!
