More Little Nine patches

Another 104 done....that's 357 altogether so far and 759 to go!

 

 

I ran out of the little light-dark-light units so I got busy strip sewing...I need another 1121 of those to finish the blocks!

 

 

Definitely a labor of love going on here.

Two days of sewing...

I had two days of sewing time so I got back to sewing 1-1/2" nine patch blocks for the Primitive Gatherings pattern '9'

 

 

I finished 253 of the little nine patch blocks - 863 to go. It seems like a daunting task but I know when this quilt is finished it is going to be one of those I will love to reach out and touch!

A day with a friend!

It wasn't a day with a real friend but with my sewing machine! And look at how these pinwheels came together! It finished 20" x 26". It will be quick to quilt - I think a grid of some sort (always a favorite of mine).

 

 

And very slowly I have been digging papers out of my mini hexagons.

I have a lot to go.

 My plan is a few each day and it will get done! 

 

 

I have decided that I'll add a border to it by just machine stitching it down to a backing using invisible thread and a tiny zigzag stitch and then framing it. As I dig out papers I've been thinking of fabric choices  for the edge and I almost sure I am going to choose the beige fabric from the quilt.
